Belakoo Trust is a not-for-profit NGO, with a vision to enable quality K-10 education for children from underprivileged special needs communities across rural and urban India. Our aim is to foster in these children, aged 4 to 16 years, a true love for learning and enable them to realize their highest individual potential while becoming life-long learners. We work towards this by tapping into our powerful and talented volunteer ecosystem, regularly connecting passionate volunteer teachers from all walks of life across India with students from villages and cities.  While the first of our projects are in Karnataka, we have ambitious plans of extending the program to other parts of the country, as we scale in the years to come. Our sessions, designed to supplement the core state government curriculum, are delivered in the vernacular language and focus on bridging the gap in the existing education system. We reinforce the students’ learning through engaging and fun filled interactive classes designed on scientific teaching methodologies. We leverage the latest in technology and modern teaching aids for effective delivery.
